i'll be back soon...i promise...

ok. so i am in california, but my computer is still in the shop. as sooooon as i get it back (which should be early next week) i shall return to the blogosphere with a vengeance. i promise.

i will leave you with this thought... if Guatamala in the 1980's was, as according to amnesty international, a "...peerless cesspool of human rights abuse," then california in the early 2000's is a peerless cesspool of bureaucratic nonsense and inefficiency. and the paperwork is REALLY confusing.

later. if i make it out of this kafkaesque nightmare.

something is technically wrong

that was the message i got when i tried to log onto twitter today. yeah...

you ain't fucking kidding.

the past few weeks seem to involved me moving from one bullshit problem to another. the good news in that i got the afore mentioned dress problem worked out. they are overnighting me the dress and now i can wear it as planned. this pleases me greatly , as this is THE dress.

i am also facing a cross-country odyssy with mothra and my sister. and i have no place to live when i get to california. this displeases me greatly. so i have just not been thinking about it. cause there's nothing i can do.

what else...what else...

i am freaking the fuck out about the presentation i have to give. to help assuage my fear, add your light to mine suggested last night that i sing karaoke. yes, we were at karaoke night. unintentionally, i assure you. (look, we live in a small town. there are only three bars. two that we could walk to. and one was closed. so bingo...there we were)

so i did it. my friend josh (who has a really great voice, especially for country music) and myself (who has a really terrible voice for any music) sang a duet. kid rock and cheryl crow. i am not making this up. add your light to mine also sang a really kick ass rendition of "jackson," also with josh.

so anything i do in my presentation could not possibly be more embarrassing than that. actually embarrassing isn't the right word. but whatev. i'm sure you get my point.

in more uplifting news. i got some hot rollers yesterday. mine had been broken for a while and i missed having farrah hair.

oh fuck...i have to get on a plane in the AM.... and y'all know how i hate that....
